The Lawns in Harlow was a multitrade project carried out by Replas, which included brick repairs, as well as concrete repairs and extensive cleaning.
The project works consisted of general roofing (Apollo London Ltd), window replacement, communal re-decorations and concrete and brick repairs. Replas carried out a full survey on the condition of the concrete, delivering regular reports, before repairing the structure with materials manufactured by Weber SBD.
As well as refurbishment of the concrete elements, Replas was also involved in repointing, brick replacement and brickwork cleaning. This included removing some of the existing coatings, or, where the coatings were to be left on, cleaning by the process of high pressure water jetting.
Soft jointed movement joints were introduced to the soffits during the repair process, and six chimney stacks required the slabs re-casting, as well as raking out and re-pointing of the brickwork.
Upon completion of the repairs an Elastomeric Anti-Carbonation coating was applied. |
