Site Batched SikaCem 810

A listed building. This structure was to be repaired using site batched and site coloured mortar. It was the clients wish not to apply a fairing coat to the sub straight after repair; this caused much concern to all parties involved. A fairing coat is usually applied to mask the repairs and provide a surface to apply anti-carbonation coatings to. Without this product the need to match our repairs to the existing sub straight became paramount.

Sika FerroGard 903 system was also employed to enable only the minimum of repair to be broken out and repaired. This system, although not conventional, proved to be the least destructive method of repair. It was felt that the match achieved by Replas was so good that the opaque coating that was being considered to hide the repairs was omitted.
